Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQ)
1. What if my child has sports practice or other commitments on Saturdays?
If your child’s sports or other activities conflict with school hours, we kindly ask that you choose between the two. It is not productive for your child to experience stress or miss schoolwork due to outside commitments. For this reason, we cannot enroll students who have ongoing commitments during school hours—even if those activities occur only part of the school year.
2. What does school tuition cover?
The school tuition is a one-time annual fee that includes:
-
Teaching time and classroom instruction
-
Special occasion programs and school-wide activities
-
Daily halal lunch
-
School supplies, books, and other learning materials
This single fee ensures families enjoy a smooth and worry-free school year without unexpected costs.

3. Can I make partial payments?
Families with one or two students must pay tuition in full by the first day of school.
Families with three or more students may be eligible to make two or three payments, but all tuition must be paid by December of each year.
4. Can I stay at school while my child(ren) are in class?
We kindly ask parents to give our staff and students space during class time. Children often behave differently when parents are observing, and we want them to feel comfortable engaging with peers and teachers independently.
5. What curriculum do you use?
All teachings at IACS are based on the Shia faith. We use the Kisa Kids curriculum as our foundation and modify or build upon it based on the specific needs and developmental levels of our students.
6. How can we communicate or stay informed about our child’s performance?
-
Each teacher has a WhatsApp group to share expectations, class updates, homework, and photos. If you’re not part of one, please contact us.
-
Parents also have access to their child’s profile on our school system to check grades and update personal information.
-
Back-to-School Day and other special occasions open to parents are great opportunities to meet teachers and stay connected.

7. Can we volunteer?
Absolutely! We always welcome volunteers who wish to contribute their time, skills, or talents to enhance our students’ learning experiences. Please reach out if you’d like to volunteer or share a specific area of expertise.
8. How else can parents help?
Parents can support the school community by:
-
Being punctual for drop-off and pick-up
-
Monitoring children’s homework and progress
-
Communicating openly with teachers and staff
-
Sponsoring lunches or special occasion costs
-
Donating funds or materials to support school programs
9. What is the school’s discipline process?
We follow a simple, respectful, and transparent process:
-
A verbal warning is given to the student.
-
If behavior continues, we contact the parents.
-
If no change occurs, the student may be dismissed from the school.
We understand that every child is unique, and sometimes our system may not be the best fit. When possible, we provide referrals to other schools that may better meet a child’s needs. Tuition is non-refundable in such cases.

10. How are students placed in Islamic Studies or Qur’an classes?
-
Islamic Studies classes are organized by age groups so students can learn and interact with peers at similar developmental stages.
-
Qur’an classes are arranged based on individual performance and reading level. Each child is assessed and placed in a group that best supports their learning progress.
